    Geographic Information Systems or GIS is a system for capturing, storing and analyzing data that has a spatial reference. By utilizing the latest technologies in GIS, PFS is able to understand, query, analyze and visualize the data our survey teams acquire in an efficient and precise manner. By using the latest technology in GIS, we integrate all of our field and project data, which enables us to provide a fast turnaround time for our customers.

    PFS manages our own GIS (Geographic Information System). Our database contains all of the survey data shot in over the past two years. This database comprises tens of thousands of land corners and control points which we use in our day to day operation. GIS is a system for capturing, storing and analyzing data that has a spatial reference. By utilizing our GIS databases, PFS is able to understand, query, analyze and visualize the data our survey teams acquire in an efficient and precise manner. By using GIS, we integrate all of our field and project data, which enables us to provide a fast turnaround time for our customers. PFS offers GIS data services to our clients where we utilize our GPS CartoPac systems to remotely gather field data for our clients as requested. 

    We are able to take relational GIS databases into the field, acquire new data, verify existing data, and maintain the data standards required by each of our clients.
