Pad Drawings
This document shows the drilling pad, located within the section(s), and shows the various wells vertical and directional and the Bottom Hole locations as provided to us by our clients. This document is usually given to the drillers at the rig for quick reference for the wells to be drilled.

Re-stakes
Many times our clients request that we re-stake well locations in the field for a variety of reasons. Predominately this is due to our clients wishes after they visit the site and realize changes need to be done. This is no problem at PFS. For a nominal fee this can be done quickly and efficiently.

Drafting & Design
CAD drafting translates to Computer Aided Drawing. Our drafters use computer applications like AutoCAD and Carlson to create technical drawings of what our field crews survey. They create all drawings and designs with precision and accuracy.

ALTA Surveys, Improvement Survey Plats and Land Survey Plats
ALTA / ACSM LAND TITLE SURVEY (ALTA): Over the last several years, the ALTA Survey has become the most popular type of survey requested. ALTA is an acronym for American Land Title Association, and ACSM stands for American Congress on Surveying and Mapping. These two private groups along with the NSPS, National Society of Professional Surveyors, last made an agreement in 2005 to certain standards that these types of surveys must adhere to.

Land Survey Plat (LSP)
The state defines this survey in the C.R.S. (Colorado Revised Statutes) 38-51-106. It is the most basic and usually the least expensive. While the Land Survey Plat may not fulfill all of a client's needs, in all instances, it is the cornerstone of other types of surveys. Land Survey Plats are also done whenever a section corner or a property corner is set. State law is very specific about what a surveyor may or may not do, and what he/she must do.

Improvement Survey Plat (ISP)
An ISP, which the state defines in C.R.S. 38-51-102, is a Land Survey Plat and more. Besides the basics of an LSP it may include, depending on the client's preferences, the location of all structures, visibly evident utilities, fences, hedges, or walls situated on the described parcel. It may include topography (contour lines and benchmark) as well.
ISP's may also be known as design surveys or architectural surveys. An ISP can show anything that is feasible to locate by client request. Many times a survey with all these attributes and a more in-depth report of the legal status of the land is required. This kind of survey is called the "ALTA Survey".
