Our Technology

PFS utilizes cutting edge technologies to produce our surveys. We employ professionally minded and knowledgeable surveyors and GIS specialists, using GPS RTK (Real Time Kinematic) and Static GPS technology to fully survey the sections of land in which we work. The resulting data is post-processed using OPUS solutions and checked for quality. The National Geodetic Survey (NGS) operates the On-line Positioning User Service as a means to provide GPS users easier access to the National Spatial Reference System (NSRS). OPUS allows users to submit their GPS data files to NGS, where the data will be processed to determine a position using NGS computers and software.

By using this process we can achieve extremely accurate solutions and therefore very precise locations. This process can be taken on the road as well! We do the majority of our work in Colorado, but using our state-of-the-art instrumentation, we are able to survey very accurately anywhere in the country. All of our survey trucks are outfitted with laptop computers and mobile internet connectivity, allowing us to do research as well as send and receive data from the field to our main office.
